 
In the past, pioneers bet their youth on the sea. Now, in the year 2200 AD, mankind searches for intelligent life in the sea of stars. Aki, Walter and Keats lead the three Rugger Teams from their base on the military flagship Rugger Guard. Using their specialised space vehicles, they uncover the ruins of spacefaring civilisations and explore uncharted planets. When they cross over into the territory of the brutal Galveston Empire, they are drawn into centuries old internal conflict of this ancient people. As their captain Ise negotiates desperately with the warring factions, the Rugger Guard is repeatedly assaulted by glory-seeking Galveston military leaders. But the Rugger Team is not helpless. If they are forced to defend themselves, they can merge their machines into the power space robot Dairugger! |
