Madman Entertainment started releasing Voltron on DVD in Australia in September 2004 and finished the DVD run in December 2005. Nine Voltron DVD sets were released in total: five for Lion Voltron and three for Vehicle Voltron, and a two-disc "Best Of Voltron" release containing fans' top five Lion Voltron and top five Vehicle Voltron episodes. Madman is the first company that released the entire Voltron series on DVD, sans the "Fleet Of Doom" special which they are unable to release due to legal problems.

They have no plans to release the 3D series and it's highly unlikely they ever will.

After many years of legal hell that have left fans frustrated, Voltron has finally come to DVD in the United States! Voltron has come to U.S. DVD courtesy of Media Blasters.

Media Blasters intend on releasing both Lion Voltron and Vehicle Voltron across eight DVD sets -- five for Lion Voltron and three for Vehicle Voltron. The Lion Voltron sets will be Lion-themed, with the heads of the Lions featured on the covers. No word yet as to what the Vehicle Voltron DVDs' themes will be, but it has been speculated that it'll be Air, Sea and Land Team themed.

Media Blasters are also releasing GoLion on DVD with it's original Japanese audio and English subtitles. The first of three GoLion sets is now available, having been released on May 27, 2008. Media Blasters will also release DaiRugger XV at a later stage.

World Events Productions have their own small in-house DVD production crew who have already put together DVDs of some of WEP's other shows. At this stage, the only Voltron DVD they've released is the "Fleet Of Doom" special. It is available from their webstore and Amazon.com.

Eagle One Media have released several comics on DVD which features panels from the comics with some minor animation in them, along with music, sound effects and spoken dialogue. Voltron is one of the comics they have released on DVD. Right now they've only released Vol 1, Issues #0-5 and Vol 2, Issues #1-5 of the comic on DVD.

Anchor Bay UK have the honour of being the first company ever to release Voltron on DVD, beating Madman's first DVD release by two days. To date, Anchor Bay have only released one Voltron DVD, which is a single disc release. The cover has Lion Voltron on it and the disc art has four of the five Lion Voltron Force members on it, but the disc actually contains the first four Vehicle Voltron episodes on it.

In apparent conjunction with Anchor Bay UK, Avenue Entertainment have released two Voltron DVDs in the United Kingdom, both of them containing Vehicle Voltron episodes.

Germany has just gotten a Voltron DVD release. Only one DVD has been released so far, which was in March 2008. The DVD has a German track and the original English track. A second DVD is currently in production.

Manga Entertainment have begun releasing the Lion Voltron series on DVD in the UK. The DVD(s) are being released in embossed steelbooks, which is rather enticing. The first DVD was released on June 2, 2008 and contains episodes 1-15. Despite official blurbs from Manga Entertainment and the DVD's episode guide booklet stating the DVD is of the remastered version of Voltron, they're actually releasing the unremastered version.
