![]() Madman Entertainment started releasing Voltron on DVD in Australia in September 2004 and finished the original run in December 2005. Nine Voltron DVD sets were released in total: five for Lion Voltron and three for Vehicle Voltron, and a two-disc "Best Of Voltron" release containing fans' top five Lion Voltron and top five Vehicle Voltron episodes. Madman also released both Voltron series in a Complete Collection boxset. Madman is the first company to have released the entire Voltron series on DVD anywhere, sans the "Fleet Of Doom" special which they were unable to release due to legalities. As of 2011 they no longer hold the Australian distribution rights to Voltron. The distribution rights are now in the hands of Beyond Home Entertainment. |

![]() Anime Works/Media Blasters have the distinction of being the first company to release Voltron on DVD in the United States. Starting in September 2006 and finishing in July 2009, eight Voltron DVD sets were released in total: five for Lion Voltron and three for Vehicle Voltron. The "Fleet Of Doom" special was given a stand-alone release. The Lion Voltron series was given a two-set re-release in May 2010, entitled "Voltron -- Lion Force" Parts 1 & 2. Anime Works/Media Blasters also released the two Voltrons' original anime series Beast King Golion and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV, marking the first (and at present only) time both series has been commercially released. Starting in May 2008 and finishing in January 2011, there were six sets released in total: three for Golion and three for Dairugger. The Golion series was given a complete series release in April 2010, entitled "Beast King Golion -- Complete Chronology". As of 2011 Anime Works/Media Blasters no longer hold the U.S. distribution rights to Voltron, Golion and Dairugger. Those rights are now in the hands of Classic Media. |

![]() World Events Productions have their own small in-house DVD production crew who have already put together DVDs of some of WEP's other shows. The only Voltron DVD they've released so far is the "Fleet Of Doom" special. World Events were planning to release the V3D series on DVD some time ago, however such a release may come from Classic Media instead following their acquisition of the U.S. distribution rights to Voltron. |

![]() Anchor Bay UK have the honour of being the first company ever to release Voltron on DVD, beating Madman's first DVD release by two days. To date, Anchor Bay have only released one Voltron DVD, which is a single disc release. The cover has Lion Voltron on it and the disc art has four of the five Lion Voltron Force members on it, but the disc actually contains the first four Vehicle Voltron episodes on it. |

![]() Manga Entertainment have only released one Voltron DVD set to date. The lone DVD is an embossed steelbook set, which is rather enticing. The DVD was released on June 2, 2008 and contains episodes 1-15 of Lion Voltron. Despite official blurbs from Manga Entertainment and the DVD's episode guide booklet stating the DVD is of the remastered version of Voltron, the DVD actually contains the unremastered version. |

![]() In July 2011, Beyond Home Entertainment released the remastered version of the Lion Voltron series on DVD in Australia. As for the Vehicle Voltron series, it's my understanding they will be releasing the remastered version of that series in early 2013. They are also releasing "Voltron Force" on DVD, which I believe marks the first official home video release of the series anywhere in the world. |
